California Elopement Photographer and Planner for the mountain seekers and mindful romantics
Standing together in one of California’s stunning landscapes, ready to share your most heartfelt promises with each other. You breathe in the fresh air, feet grounded in nature, and as your eyes meet, you feel a deeper love and calm you’ve not felt before.
Here, we’re all about slow mornings, chasing scenic views, and creating core memories on your wedding day.
Now, that’s an experience worth reliving over and over.
And even though you’ve chosen to elope, you know your day is still all about bonding, being true to yourselves, planning with intention, and soaking in every uninterrupted moment together.
Because this day isn’t just about signing a piece of paper and calling it done.
If anything, choosing to elope makes it even more meaningful to slow down and be thoughtful about how you spend it; where you are, what you’re doing, and what kind of memories you want to create to carry with you years from now.

“From day one when I was inquiring to the last day where I met her in person we just had the same ideas, values, and vision for my elopement day. She provided all of the answers we needed, helped us capture the perfect pictures and she was so professional during the whole process.”

And as your California elopement photographer, I’ll be right there for you too.
From the first time we talk to the minute before you say “I do” and beyond.
Hi, I’m Sara! Your love for adventure and your desire to elope in a serene California elopement ceremony and celebration is seriously so beautiful and worthy.
I believe every love story deserves a wedding day that feels grand yet rooted in unique and personal decisions (even for us introspective romantics!).

“Even when planning an elopement there is SO much that needs to be done. Sara broke down the process in bite-sized pieces and provided resources, guides and worksheets to make the planning not only pain free but also really fun.”

What is it like to have a California Elopement?
Elopement packages intentionally created to support you, help you navigate all the details, and getting stunning photos along the way.
Every elopement package is made to carry you from that first excited “let’s do this” to the moment you’re looking back at your photos years later.
I’ll be there to document the parts of your day you’ll treasure most and you’ll also have an elopement planner in your corner. I’ll be there for steady guidance and help with permits, timelines, and location scouting through monthly chats.
Need vendors? I’ll share recommendations tailored to your plans. Want an officiant? That’s covered too.
The goal is simple: To make your planning feel clear, supported, and shaped around the pace and atmosphere you want for your day.
WHAT’S NEXT IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN?
01 LET’S TALK
Share details you have in mind (it’s okay if you don’t have any yet!) and I’ll get back to you with availability and options to connect and continue the conversation.
02 WE’LL PLAN
Through monthly calls, we’ll put a plan together and finalize every detail for each aspect of the day.
03 YOU’LL ELOPE
You get married, I photograph it all. We’ll spend the day as you envisioned it and you’ll enjoy every second of it.
But the experience doesn’t end when your gallery is delivered.
Your gallery isn’t just for scrolling. After delivery, you’ll have access to my online shop where you can turn your favorite images into tangible pieces that bring your story into your everyday life.
FLAT LAY ALBUMS
With layflat pages and seamless spreads, flat lay albums let your images flow beautifully from one page to the next. Like a story you can hold, they’re perfect for sharing your elopement, engagement, or couples session in a way that feels intentional.
WRAPPED-EDGE CANVAS
Ready-to-place canvases bring depth, warmth, and presence to your walls by turning your favorite images into art. The textured surface and gallery-wrapped edges make them easy to be a focal point in your home.
PRINTS
Bring your favorite moments to life with rich detail and color that lasts. Whether you frame them, gift them, or keep them in an album, prints make your memories part of your daily view.

Do you have any elopement questions before getting started?
As an elopement photographer who has gone through the elopement process multiple times, I have insight to share to help you make informed decisions for your day!
How many guests can I bring to my elopement ceremony?
You can choose to elope by yourselves or include up to 20 guests for your ceremony and/or reception plans. Please just note that I do not photograph elopements with more than 20 guests.
How long in advance do I need to book you for an elopement?
I’m committed to helping you create a day with purpose which may require extensive planning. This is why I advise that we start working together on your elopement plans at minimum 6 months in advance of your desired date. For courthouse-only elopements, I offer an exclusive package that can be booked only 3 months in advance.
Aside from planning and officiating, do you offer other services?
Yes! I also offer album design services, as well as photo printing, to assist you with getting physical products of your images after your gallery is complete and delivered.
Do we need to be super adventurous or hike a lot to a location to elope?
The best part of California landscapes is that you do not always have to trek to find scenic spots so no, you don’t have to be an intense hiker! We’ll always work together to find locations that fit your vision and accessibility needs.
What are the requirements to elope in California?
To elope in California, you do not need to be a California-resident BUT you are always required to obtain a California marriage license. Then for your ceremony you’ll need an ordained person to solemnize your marriage and at least one witness to sign the license. Need assistance? I’m able to help; when we work together I’ll provide insight and options to help you navigate the legal paperwork.
How do I know how many hours I’ll need for photography coverage?
How many hours you’ll need will depend on the type of day you want to have and the moments you’d like to have captured. At minimum, 5 hours with me as your photographer covers events such as getting ready, first looks, vow exchanges, the ceremony, formal portraits and couple’s adventure photos, including travel time.
Do you travel for elopements outside of California too?
Yes! It would be an honor to join you on your elopement outside of California. If you don’t have a place in mind yet, I welcome you to checkout my ongoing bucketlist locations here; these locations include a discount offer for a full day elopement package (8 hours). If you’re interested please get in touch so that we can discuss further details and pricing information.
